I get this message when I try to install Avisynth 256--->
"You need administrator rights to install AviSynth!\r\n\r\n(Could not write to registry)"

I'm logged on as the administrator.
The windows folder has write access enabled.
I've been googling this and searching forums but I can not figure this out. I was initially try to install AutoGordianKnot.2.26. and it would always get hung up on the avisynth portion so now I'm trying to install avisynth only. Help Please!

Could be that the section of the registry that the installer is trying to write to has write access disabled. Since you are logged in as admin you can re-enable it. Happened to me before, just not with AVISynth.

I set my permissions in the registry to "full control". Still no cigar.
Is their another way to enable the ability to install?
How did you change your settings?

Well since I run win2k, I just used regedt32 to change the permission of the key in question.
