I have looked around on this forum numerous times and have posted several questions and not a single person replied? Any other forum I have used, the folks have always been very knowledgable & quick to respond. Here, the exact opposite......not a damn thing. I thought these fourms were for people to get help with questions about burning & ripping DVD's and etc? All I want to know is there an easy wasy to use DVdecrypter and DVDShrink to rip the DTS tracks off of a DTS Cd and place them directly on a DVD-R without all of the encoding, decoding, B.S.? I dont want to onvert them to any other format, all I want is to combine a few favorite tracks onto one DVD-R that will play the DTS surround mix in my capable DVD player.
Your thread title is broad. There are a lot of area specific experts here that scan the thread titles. Yours doesn't really catch anyone's attention. Try something more specific like "Help ripping DTS track." People think that yours is a simple fix that a lot of people can get you pointed in the right direction on, (like I did) but, unfortunately, that's a little too advanced for me. Hopefully someone will assist you soon...
and you're going to continue NOT getting help with that attitude! People come here on their own free time to help and offer FREE advice, so if someone doens't answer your for a few days, then chill! This isn't a tech support service! just type "bump" in yout topic and it will bring your quesiton back to the front. No reason to be a dick about it
Amen! to djscoop. If people don't know the answer you can't force them to answer. Solutions to problems here are more at times based on experiences and apparently they don't have any experiences with this DTS thingy. My 2 bytes worth anyway. cheezzzz
djscoop, No need for the vulgarity here, I just am looking for advice not trashy comments. Keep to yourself if you have nothing to offer! Being new to this forum and not getting a single response seemed odd to me, that is why I posted the last message....sorry to the others out there who are not so critical, I didn't mean to sound harsh. Thanks again to anyone who may have knowledge about my first post and djscoop....relax.
This is not a very good way to get people to help you. Especially with it being the VERY FIRST thing you said here. That's like saying "I don't like any of you people, but can you help me with....?" I don't blame people for not helping you.
I commented on your attitude because it was pretty uncalled for. if you would have just made a comment like "I made a few posts and haven't gotten any responses, I really need help with this issue" and left it at that then it would be cool. but you pretty much dissed the forum and the users here just because your thread got no replies. If you didn't mean to sound harsh, then you shouldn't have been so rude in your post.
aLL i CAN say is this person is a realllllllllllllll noooooooobbbb! I just started here a few months ago and I'm really burning up a storm!!! The people here are really knowledgeable and know their stuff. If you didn't get a responce it's because you must have been vague or it was posted in the wrong forum subject thread or people here that want to help haven't got a clue of your prob! Keep subject line short but to the point and ask direct questions that have as much info so that other's may form comments based on given information so a correct answer can be advised!
I let out some frustration in my first post(not directed towards anyone here) and the only replies I receive are noooob, dick, and rude. Great help. So I got confused about some ripping/burning options and asked for help not criticism. Again, I apologize about the first post, my intentions are being taken way out of proportion and maybe some positive feeback might help not the latter
I don't think that DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink will allow you to rip just audio. You can get all the audio except the DTS off the disc if you want but I think you're still gonna have video. There are programs out there that will do what you want though.
here's another thing to think about! I have Soundblaster as my audio card and it has a recorder...... if you play the movie on your computer you can record "WHAT YOU HEAR" on the Soundblaster recorder in the setting of your choice! My new computer will record anything that is heard at any setting I deem it to! It's cool! then you can edit the recording with any audio program, mine is Cool Edit Pro!
I suppose that would work but I'd bet that what you get will be real noisy, a bunch of static in the background. If you have a capture card you could hook up a dvd player to it (just the audio part) and capture that, but I know there's programs out there that will just rip the audio off the disc.
you won't get any background noises!!! it's what is playing on the computer and not a microphone!!! it's internal!! no mics!! sooooo you don't need wires!!!! and I can record at any quality stereo bitrate I want to! well..... almost...... seeeeee:
ok I found it hope this is what you are looking for told it was one of the best free trial included http://www.dvdapp.com/dvd_audio.htm
bigbwb Unfortunately in a forum as big as ours threads can and do get missed. Like djscoop stated, noone works here so demanding help the way you did won't make you any friends and you shouldn't be surprised with the comments you got. My advice would be to chill out and lose the attitude so folks will want to help you.
@ihoe, I was misunderstanding, I thought it was mic'd. That's gotta be a pretty cool sound card. Which one is it. I've got the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, maybe I should check into it to see if mine can do the same.
