My PS3 has a 40 gb hard drive and I am replacing it with a 500GB from tiger firect, I also ordered a Ultra USB 2.0/SATA 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure. I wanted to put the hard drive that is coming out of the PS3 into this and use it to hold stuff from my computer that I need. My problem is I have no idea what I will need to do, to be able to use the Hard Drive from the PS3, will I need to add windows to it or is their some software I can use to make it work the way I need it to work. when you plug the hdd into your comp it should recognize it, got to mycomputer and find the drive right click and look for the option to format drive.(this is all after you put the hdd int the enclosure)

Youtube can be your friend...it can also be the place where some moron gives you instructions that will cause permanent physical damage to components. "To format the drive, all you have to do is place a large magnet on it" is the kind of crap I expect from youtube these days.
