Hi, I'm looking for some help using Nero Vision 4 in Nero 7 Utra Edition. I just completed a project, but I could use some further help. I dowloded a complete concert from Bittorent. I used add video files to merge four .VOB files into one complete concert file in .VOB. Then I went in and manually edited chapters and placed them in between the songs. The project came out fine and I burned it and this time the sound matched the video(for a nice change of pace).

What I was wondering, is it possible for me to create a main menu that lists all the songs and allows me to go directly to the song from the main menu? As it stands now, when you play the video, there are 14 separate chapters to click on individually. But I would prefer a main menu as it would look more professionally done. Can someone help me with this, please?

It sounds like you only have one Title menu, is that correct? If you really have all the chapters under one title, you might play with the top right selection box and choose make only title menu, or one of the other choices.

I was playing the other day and ran into some problems when only one title menu was made with several chapter menus. So try some different options.

If you wanted to divide the songs up, you might make several titles and then put certain songs under that title. Then you would have title menus and sub menus for each song. In order to get separate titles, you have to add the videos on the titles page and then edit each title to add additional content to that title. In your case, you would probably have 4 title menus with chapters under them. It makes a difference where you add the videos as to how the menus are handled-Titles page, or Editing page.

In case you didn't notice, if you are on the menus page, when you hit the more button, you are given some additional navigational options for the buttons and what plays when.

Well, I don't think I have any Title menu at all. I just have 14 chapters with the names of each song under the chapter, which I edited in the create manual chapters page. When I play the DVD on my stand alone player, I have it so that there are 4 chapters to each page and you have to click the next button at the bottom to get to the other songs.

What I really wanted was what you get when you buy a DVD and a menu comes up that lets you go to individual chapters, rather than the way I have it, which is 14 chapters spread along 4 pages. Does that make sense?

What you want makes sense, I just don't think Nero can do it. You would have to create another button somehow on the title menu to go to a scene selection area and I haven't found a way. If you notice on most commercial DVDs, the scene selection area is usually divided up so you can only choose maybe 4 or so scenes from each menu page.

I still think it would be best for you to load the 4 .vob files in the titles page. Then make chapters for each one. When the DVD plays, you get 4 buttons on the Title screen, and by clicking one, you get the chapters under that title.

Otherwise, I don't really see a way. You probably need a more involved authoring program.

Thank you for your help. I have it set up so that there are 4 chapters per page, so I guess that's as good as it gets. I have to scroll through 4 pages to get to all songs though. Oh well.

I need to post another problem I am having with a separate file. Maybe you can see that post and help.
