I have a jvc av-56p777. It is a 56 inch HDTV with all the trimmings but it has a problem with the display being crooked. Has anyone had any problems with this before. Is it possible that the place i bought it from just gave me a bum tv. I'm pretty upset with them, they said that it isn't part of the warranty. Any information would help. Thanks

    ps

also the hd signal kind of looks like crap when the xbox360 is hooked up. (my only hd signal) Any ideas on that front would be helpful as well.

Out of curiosity, where did you buy the TV? I wouldn't take tehir word for it; I'd look up what the warranty says....hell, it doesn't make sense that a defective picture on a TV is covered in the warranty...sound like the retailer is throwing the bull and doesn't want to be bothered. I don't blame you for being pissed off but the best thing to do is keep a cool head and annoy them relentlessly....you bought that thing for considerable $$, you have a right not to be ripped off.

I wholly agree that it probably is covered by the warranty. I bought the TV from a local electronics store thinking that buying from a local business would be helping the community. Probably not the best idea. Lately I haven't had the time to do it but I will be bugging them over the next few weeks. Also I will be calling JVC about the issue.
    Thanks for the encouragement
