help with dreambox image ?

i have being trying to reflash dreambox500c with dw2.0 image for 3 weeks now ,with no luck , im useing rs 232 via pc com ports , anybody tell me if this image works? or if they know were i can get a working image without the nightmare of trying to download it from a web file page that wont give it up", why are the dreambox / dbox so hard to flash? any help welcome , thanks for your time..

 

You need a real nullmodem cable with crossed wires.

 

thanks mgb17, for getting back to me , im useing a 9 pin cable that came with a eurovox, it flashed that box and a starview one ok , i have this other 2m black cable it has N" stamped on it , im not sure what a nullmodem cable should look like? and what crossed wires are , any help welcom , thanks again ,
