Ok I have been trying for the better part of 2 weeks to burn some avi files on to dvd. I have tried multiple programs with varying levels of success and failures. The first program I tried was called DVD styler. It is simple to use with static customizable menus and drag and drop ease. The first disc I made with it worked and everything came out beautifully. After the first disc everything went to hell 2 discs later I can pop the dvd in but the menu doesn't work. After the failure of that program I tried AVStoDVD. Once again the menu works and plays well on my AVStoDVD and I am very frusterated with all the wassted time.
Is the a question in there? If you want to create a traditional DVD (mpeg-2 with simple menu) AVStoDVD and DVD Flick are often recommended around here.
Sorry everything is good for the original trouble but I do have a new question. While I was running DVDStyler, I tried ot download some other software but when I did something in one of the other programs screwed up Styler. Once I deleted the new stuff and just have styler it works fine. However, some of the files I want to use are WMV format and I need them to be AVI. How do I accomplish this?
Try this, it's free and there must be others: http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/ Edit: Here's probably a better one: http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
