I am unable to burn dvd videos to DVD-R. Tried various permutations and combinations, using DVD shrink, DVD decrypter, Nero, using VIDEO_TS files, IFO, etc. I can burn DVD+Rs. I have a butner that is supposed to burn all 4 formats including DVD+DL. Have tried 2 different manufacturers of DVD-Rs. All programs work fine until the burn process starts. The burner starts writing, burns the initial info, changes to lead in, and then nothing. The program keeps saying writing to disk 0%. But nothing happens. The burner locks the disk and that's it. The disk then becomes unwritable.

    Help

What kind of burner do you have? What f/w version? What kind of media are you using? Do you have InCD installed? What OS? Standard questions in order to give an answer.

I've heard that Teons are crap, try some Verbatum with Super AZO Dye.

Squizzle is right. Teon is crap, low end media for sale at Office Max, at bargain prices. Go to io magic site, and be sure you have the latest firmware. Purchase Verbatum, or Ridata media, and try again.

I must agree. When I first bought my burner, I got a 20 pack of Teon free. I made 20 coasters. I tried changing my apps, settings, everything. When my TY's finally arrived, I got flawless burns! And still do because I only use TY's and Verbs... You can't put regular unleaded in a Ferrari and expect it to perform!!!
