Just got a dvd recorder, it works great but when i try to put the files on my cpu it gives me an error always on the last vob file. It copies the first 4 fine and when it gets to the fifth file it tells me can not copy might be missing or corrupted. The funny thing is that it plays it fine on any player. I used a dvd+rw disc, when I finished recording I made it compatable in the recorder. Ive tried to open it in different programs but they all fail. Dvd shrink reads it all the way to about 90% im guessing it fails when it gets to the fifth vob file. Dr. Dvix does the same and cpu fails at the same file. What can I do? What software can read or fix this file on the disc? HELP! thx in advance.
hi erm? tottally lost here in trying to understand what you need to do? are you trying to copy a dvd original to a dvdr? and what apps are you useing from start to finish? and whats the errors? ------------------------------- just relax and give as much info as possible...
Im a big boxing fan so i went out and bought a dvd rec. I recorded a fight on tv. when I try to copy all the vob files on my cpu it copies the first 4 vob files fine but when it gets to the fifth it tells me the file is missing or corrupted but all the players ive tried on read it and paly it fine. My problem is I cant get that fifth vob file on the cpu with all the software i mentioned. Without that fifth file the fight is incomplete.
This is the error message I get from DVD Shrink Failed to read file "D:\" Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Like I said it reads the first four vob's but when it get to the fifth it fails. I used a dvd+rw disc and made it compatable in the recorder. This is almost like finalizing a DVD - or + r disc to make it compatable to other dvd players.
hi i think you are talking about a standalone dvd recorder that is fitted to your TV yes? well these record in dvd ( VR ) format of + and - one is left open to add more files and the other format is closed! you need the closed version anyway, have you tried useing dvd decrypter to rip the dvd to your HD (hard drive)??? it a free app http://www.dvddecrypter.com if you want to do a 1 to 1 copy go to mode tab and click iso read the go back to mode tab and click iso write!
