Ok, i have an xbox with an executer2 chip (thats what it says under the X when i boot) The HD had been formatted by the previous owner and had no data. I was able to install the original M$ dash and it will boot to that. Once i was to that point I tried using the Ndure linux.iso boot cd i have for my other (softmodded) xbox, but when i boot now i only get a black screen after the xbox splash screen. I can set the HD back to the M$ dash if needed. I need help getting this thing to boot to a dash. Any ideas would be great. THanks
Firstly you need to find out what type of hardmod you have . Meaning modchip . Just because the the old ms logo says Xecuter2 doesnt mean you have an xecuter2 chip . As to your harddrive , try to bring it back to an oem state . If you have a Slayers 2.6 or 2.7 then use it . If not i would suggest getting your hands on it . Then go about changing stuff on your hard drive . Hope This helps , if not then post a reply .
