can anyone help me im trying to ftp my box and im using a router and straight thru cable with evox 393 ok so here is the problem i cant see the dhcp setting to enable it and i have toggled static to on and off but still no dhcp any help for a total newb is much appreciated
I never had much luck following tut's on using a router and a straight through cable. I broke down and spent 5 bucks and bought a crossover cable and hooked it up directly to my pc and it worked like a charm without all the headaches. Worth the 5 bucks to me. I'm sure that someone who is more knowledgeable about using a router to ftp will pick up on this thread and help you out though if you don't want to go the route I did. [edit] It's also handy to have a crossover cable to ftp between 2 xbox's if you're not using a router also.
yeah man ill just get a crossover cable oh and with that cable i can ftp into my xbox without an internet connection right
I'm pretty sure you don't need an internet connection to ftp either through a router or with a crossover cable as I have to unhook my modem in order to connect my xbox to my pc with the crossover cable.
