I have tried absolutely everything to get my xbox FTP'd so that i can start modding the softmod. I am running Evox with a router. I dont know what i am doing wrong. please contact me at FierceCustoms on AIM thanx in advance
This is gonna sound weird but after i woke up this morning... it went right in. I am using FlashFXP and i do have the static set to NO. The other question i have is where do you change the LED light settings. Also does anyone know if you can upgrade the HDD without the hard mod? Thanx
Yes...you can use a program like xboxhdm to load the EEPROM to your new disc and format it for your xbox. http://www.xbox-scene.com/software-result.php Not sure about the LED lights for a softmod. I've heard they can be changed through XBMC but I don't know. Xecuter 3 (if you plan on chippin your box) allows you to change it in the chip configuration upon boot.
Update 9/12/05 really early in the morning I got the softmod working and everything. Thanx for the info on the hdd. i will try that right now. I did however note that you can change the LED light when your new dashboard is modded. If you have unleashX its awesome because its in the system utilities. Havent tried evox cus i got rid of it. I also painted my case red and silver, and with the red led it looks killer. -D

No Prob. I just got my internet back on so expect me to be around. I am now playing with upgrading the Hdd to 250gb. Its installed and great (i ran the MA install) but when it gets to "linux" it recognizes the drive as 250gb. Wonderful... so i do the Softmod install and install the UnleashX dash. Get there and just 123gb on the F:. I tried formatting the F: drive in the "Run Linux" from MA but it still comes up in my dash as 123. Any help would be great. I have been looking around and it looks like i might have to upgrade the bios. Anyway thanx again and ill hang around. -D
Do you happen to have a handy link to help update the bios? I was reading on xboxscene and i didnt understand a word of it. Also am i updating the bios for unleashx or the xbox? Thanx again
You're updating the Dash BIOS if needed: You could look on their website for the latest BIOS available and try getting the update via #xbins or a P2P client.
