I am new to this. I have already succesfully done a disc that was 3.8G. I now want to split "Insomnia" to two discs. disc 1: (1st half of movie),(extras) disc 2: (2nd half of movie) On the original, the move is at VTS_03_X.vob for a total of about 6 Gig. I split this using ifoEdit. I now want to be able to make disc 2 auto play, and with no extra features. AUTO PLAY: The guides say to go to VIDEO_TS.IFO>>>VMGM_MAT and locate First Play PGC. On "Insomnia" there is no VMGM_MAT. The closest is VTSI_MAT, but I can not find "First Play PGC". Is there another way to do this?? NO EXTRA FEATURES: I am only going to have the movie on disc 2, (no space for extras). When i created disc 2 w/ifoEdit it saved the vob files as VTS_03_X.vob. There is no VTS_01_X.vob or VTS_02_X.vob (i do not want them) Do I need to rename VTS_03_X.vob to VTS_01_X.vob,and if i do is there anything that i need to update for the change in name. I have been working hard at this and hope that someone can resolve these 2 issues. Jack
j_ripper, I am backing up INSOMNIA. There is a VMGM_MAT in the VIDEO_TS.IFO. You can then open a subdir called first play pgc. You can edit the precommand to jump right to the movie. You do not have to rename your vts files, just make sure you jump to the correct title.
Thanks, by the time i read your reply i figured that out. I just bought the sony dru 500a, which is my first burner. I am using Memorex DVD-R. Right now I am having a problem burning any .iso file. I tried DVD Decrypter and Nero. I get a write error with both of them (even when i copy a dvd under 4.7G). If anyone can help i would appriciate it.
