Help with ipod cassestte adaptor.

    i bought a cassette adaptor and i went to use it with my ipod i would play for a bit then it switches and gives a buzzing noise then spits it out.. Im using a 2003 Toyota 4Runner JBL edition...it has a Logic Control Deck with an old ipod 20gb U2 edition any sugestions
