Any suggestions, settings changes etc? I read one post I found with the search that suggests it's more difficult to back up my original. Thanks
When does it hang? During read or during write? I have this problem sometimes during read where Decrypter doesn't move past a certain point. To solve this problem I abort, take the game out and give it a quick clean, reinsert the game and start the write process all over again. This generally solves my problem.
Don't bother. Katamari always screws up at 99%. Go into your DVD Decrypter menu and set all read retries to zero. There are just a few bad sectors on the edge that can't be read. It won't affect gameplay (I've checked this on atleast 3 brand new KD discs [one my own, one a friend, one rented], plus people have already talked about it before on the web). Burn the iso with the read errors and you should be able to play it as normal. Same goes for HD Loader.
Jashsu-Thanks for the help Katamari hangs on "read" at 99%. There is no "error" code. it will just not finish making the iso. It will stop with only a few kb left in the read. I stopped the read, copied the iso to disk and it seems to be working fine. your help is much appreciated. it's a Sweet game.
Most original game of 2004! Which is why its such a travesty that EA of all companies has the rights to publish Katamari 2 in Europe. Yes, EA, the company that shits out sports rehashes year after year, suffocating retailer shelf space.
