Nero Essesntials v XP Home SP2 I enter my video into the project, click next - but I am taking back to the start screen! Whats going on? Also - I tried cutting a few seconds of a scene, but a menu pops up saying the length of the cut is too big? Did not know there was a limit.
You probably did not cut the right way, instead of cutting the few seconds, you cut out the big chunk and left the few seconds. When you are done editing, click "Next". What looks like the start screen is not, now click on "Make DVD with edited movie" to create your chapters, menu...If you don't want to make a DVD, click on "Export" to save as an avi, mpeg...
The Start screen I was seeing gave me a few options: Create, Continue Save Open. But when I went back to continue editing. then clicked Next, back to that same start screen. I was not able to burn the project. I ended up saving it and will start again. Took a break and started the process again. I am not sure, but my Sony VRD MC3 was not properly connected to the PC, so Nero thought I was using the PC's burning drive. I was then able to burn the project.
