help with .mdf file

    i have downloaded a game ... "PHARAOH" from a torrent site ... the only file i downloaded was an .mdf file ... how do i get around to using this file ... do i have to burn and use as a cd ... if so how?!?!?!

    You use Alcohol 120% to burn a .mdf file :)

    but its not coming up when i search for it ... any more pointers?

    Install Alcohol 120%>image burning wizard>locate your .mdf file.
    Go to Portmac's website and see if the game is cd protected. If so then you may not be able to make a working backup.

    i still cannot find it ... i tryed draging and droping and it say

    un reconised image format! please choose an image file supported by Alcohole 120%

    You don't drag-n-drop that .mdf file m8. After you choose burning image wizard click next. Here you locate the .mdf file(hopefully you tucked in a folder) you saved on your pc. Burn RAW DAO(if applicable) :)

    It's been awhile since I used Alcohol 120% but you may need the .mds file as well. How large (in megabytes) is your .mdf file?

    Go to options and enable overburn and try again. You should have a .mdf and a .mds file in the same folder.
