I have recently purchased a V551, Mobile Phone Tools, and a Bluetooth USB dongle. I have manually configured MPT for my phone (after several hours of trying to get the Bluetooth to recognize it). However, when I run MPT, I can't sync it up w/ the phone. I guess it's still not recognzing the phone. Does anyone have any tips/tricks to get this to rexongize my phone and sync?
Unfortunately, I've discovered that a lot of people are having the same type of problems. I've come to the conclusion that there are way too many variables involved to mess with it. However, I will share with you some success I've had. The BT adapter i bought on eBay came with a program called BlueSoliel. At first, I found it did sync with my V551 phone, but didn't give me the phonebook capabilities that I was looking for. I've recently discovered that I can sync Outlook contacts. I just haven't mastered it yet. So far, I get the phone numbers from my PC to my phone, but I don;t get the names. If anyone's having luck "pushing" contacts from BlueSoliel to a Motorola V551 (complete with names and numbers), please share your "how-to".
