i own a Dell Latitude Pentium III with a combo drive. I can play video games and CD's, but when i put a movie, I get an error. I have Inter video software for the DVD. I think I need to uninstall the software and re-install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you. Pete
hi pete, well, on your Dell laptop, are you sure that your "combo drive" is a combo of cd-rw/dvd-rom? or is it some other type of combo? in order for your to play standard dvd movies, you NEED to have a dvd-rom drive or a combo drive that is part dvd-rom/cd-rw~ if your drive is dvd-rom capable...THEN, your initial suggestion of uninstalling your dvd software and reinstalling it clean would be a logical next step~ need to have the hardware capable of playing dvd movies before we go into software~ good luck
