I just got a brand new 37LG60. The first time I turned it on however, there was a lot of green "noise?". After leaving the TV on for a half hour, the problem completely vanished and has not returned with hours/days of use. Is this normal? Attached a link for an image example.

    Thanks,
    Mark

It could have been a glitch, Personally If it was me I would take it back and get a new one, It might be fine for months on end and then come back 1 day after the warranty is up.

Thanks, appreciate the input. I had it shipped here so packing it up would be a bit of a chore. I'm hoping it was static, as there was a ton removing it from the box.

Anything is possible, electronics are very sensitive to static.
I would at least call the place you bought it from and report the problem, ask them to make a note of it.

Thanks for the advice. I did let the people I bought it from know about the problem, and a tech from LG is coming by. At least I can get their opinion.

I just picked up a new lcd monitor this past week too. I never got anything like that. I think that you should either contact where you got it or return it too. There could be a problem with it. Maybe when it was shipped?
