first can i install xp on a comp already running vista? can i have both vista and xp on on comp on a single hard drive? can i install 32 bit xp on a comp that has vista running 64 bit?
Hi tumadre Absolutely! Here are some sites which you can look at for instructions: http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_and_xp_with_vista_installed_first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-6157570.html Best Regards
so can i have vista x64 bit and still run 32 xp on the same comp having both os on the same hard drive??
Absolutely, I believe. Since both system are going to be in isolation of each other, their bits will not affect each other.
right right... whatever was i thinking. Absolutely. You need to have a 64 bit CPU to be able to install 64 bit operating systems, as well as 32 bit operating system. Do you know if your CPU supports 64 bit? Here are some examples: AMD Athlon 64, Opteron or EMT-64 enabled Intel Pentium 4/D/EE Best Regards
