And I used this program to see what kind of ram i had then it showed up with this, Look at bottum. Currently installed memory: 1st part- 128MB ____ 2end Part- Empty DDR PC1300 Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.* *Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory. So if eny body can help me with this plz help thinks in advance.
I think your mobo can only support pc 2700 or pc3200, so I think you'll need to find different ram...

Can you tell me how u found that information like that on www.HP.com plz and is that information from my computer? And how can I see what kind of socket my motherboard holds or haves?
You go to HP.com, find the support section, type in your model number, click on product info, and then click on Motherboard Specs.
socom, the specs i posted is for your computer. had to re-edit the 2nd link as was identical to 1st link. your board uses a socket 478 cpu as shown in the 2nd link.
No problem, but you do realize that you cant run DDR2 memory in your motherboard right? I just wanted to be clear about it.
Yeah I no that now i went to the closet computer store to me and asked them and they sed no so yeap I no now and thats another reson why i'm upgrading my computer.
He is doing that. Its just that he posted that in another thread. EDIT: Oh and sammoris found that thread, so you know what I'm talking about.
Well not being mean or enything but go look at the computers for gameing and look at the prices there expesive and i'm not trying to spend ($1000.00) on a new computer when I have most of the good parts already set and it's only going to cost me about ($600.00) for all the stuff i'm geting and it's way more cheaper. And to me it seems like when a company makes a computer or system for like ($600.00) they make the price at least ($400.00) more then they made it, Then there you go you have a ($1000.00) computer right there that costed them ($600.00) to make it. Like alienwar there most expensive computer is ($5000.00) and thats is a lot of maney. This is alist of all the stuff im getting and i'm building right from my tower I have now I was thinking about starting from scrap but I sed fusk it and just dicided to build of my old tower. -- New coustom computer cost -- Graphics Processor- EVGA GeForce 8600 GT Sli.
