You might have to get somekind of patch, that i remember, i'm not sure.
And try it with newest GCSim loader.

Or are u meaning that u use PSO to load GCOS or something to play game from DVD? Then u maybe have to use fstfix and/or burn it to better DVD brand or/and tweak laser.

Say more information that someone can help u more...

And answer to your question, i have got RE4 to work with second method i explained.

Try out GCOS or Anaconda, they should work with Resident Evil 4.I don't think it is a good idea to stream Res4,because I don't think it will work streaming it.

Try using Anaconda if you can't get GCOS to work.note with Anaconda you have to have the switch sensor taped down or use a rubber band.Burn Resident Evil 4 on disc and try GCOS or Anaconda.

Yes, u need to remove the case(or modify to full-DVD).

And about Anaconda... dont use Anaconda, it sucks, and GCOS is better, but efal07 is best, all games are working better with it, not a single DRE...

Once i heard something about somekind of patch, i might be wrong, i don't remember:D

If it wasn't for Anaconda we wouldn't have GCOS or anything like it,so no I don't think it sucks. What sucks is the people that don't realize Anaconda was the first to be released.I only mentioned it if he couldn't get GCOS to work.I agree GCOS is better, but Anaconda isn't that far off like you mention as for boot sequence.

    checking countrycode... found JPN.
    Game name:
    Apploader Date:
    GameID:

then the DVD-r stops spinning and when i press A to start nothing happens

is this because im using a crap DVD-r??

It depends on the region code of the game to be honest. When you get to the screen where it says press A to automatically find the region.Ignore this button, because it tends to have flaws on games. If you press Y it will give you NTSC and if you press X it will give you PAL.There are more buttons, but I forgot what the rest of the buttons are for.You will see this screen once it does a refresh of an original game, and you swap discs.

well i decided to give this a try on my non modded gamecube and i cant get it to work with games that work on my modded gamecube.

    i used the gcos 1.4

when the swap disc screen appears i swap the disc and then i wait and before the next screen appears the disc stops then the next screen appears about 3 seconds later the next screen appears and it says the region is jpn and all the other things are blank. then it gives the button option i hit "Y" to do ntsc and then the screen goes black and the disc doesnt start to move and it hangs at the black screen. i have tried doing it and when it says to switch disc i put in an original and it spins and gives the info and when i press "y" or "a" it hangs at the black screen but the disc spins fast and you can see the laser easily and it doesnt move at all.

does a modchip have to be installed for this to work or not?

It depends on the games to be honest account, some games work flawless while others still experience problems.GCOS still contains flaws with some games,so I am not really positive which games are compatible with it.I know Resident Evil 4 works though, because this is the second game I tried out with GCOS.The first one was Zelda Windwaker, but I have heard Luigi's Mansion doesn't work.I think what we need is a good chart displaying what works with GCOS and what doesn't.

so far i've tried RE4 (NTSC) & Ikaruga (PAL)
    both burnt to different DVDs

    and still no luck

c account is getting the same problem
once you change to the burnt DVD the disc spins for 2 sec then stops and nothing loads

L-Burna i agree a compete list would be nice ;)

account i think its the DVD you are using, altho someone tell me its my iso's or the burner
