i use dvd shrink to encode the video and dvd decrypter for burning. i burn the videos and they come out widescreen which is fine because i have a widescreen tv, but when i put it on a regular 4:3 t.v. everything is skinnier, and since its not a widescreen i cant switch it to full mode to make everything normal. does anybody know how to change it so it will show the black bars on regular t.v's and i can just put it on zoom for the widescreen t.v.

I believe some DVD players have the option of changing the aspect ratio, but other than that I think you will have to reauthor (ie convert to MPEG or AVI and then convert back), most reauthoring programs allow you to force an aspect ratio, although I have had bad results doing this personally.

If someone else knows of a way feel free to chime in...
