hi im new and i've just downloaded the subtitles for a movie that i have and the person who sent me them also gave me the movie and apparently the timing is supposed to be perfect and they told me to use vob sub but i dont know how so i used subtitle workshop instead and ive got the subtitles playing to the vid (although the video is only playing black on the preview screen) and the subtitles are off by a few seconds and i cant fix them all cos that would take forever and im wondering if anyone knows a way to make them adjust automatically or if this is happening because im not using vobsub like the guy sed to??? pls help as im hopeless at this and i really wanna watch my movie :(

    Hey there, try this:
in vobsub chose the configuration (start->programs->vobsub->DirectVobsubConfigure)after loading the file
press timing and chose the delay time (positive or negative) make some tries and I believe it will work..
    bye
