Its like there isn't a disc in the drive, don't know what to do. Tried ripit4me, dvdshrink, dvd decrypter & others to no avail! Its a Sony dvd.
I ripped mine with Ripit4me 1.7.1.0 and latest AnyDvd running in the background. No probs ( both discs, full disc mode)
Have you tried ripping with DVDFab HD Decrypter? It is completely free and updated often to keep up with new releases. http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
I have had it for several days, can't even get my pc to read it, just spins in the dvd burner, then it stops & ripit4me says STIP avalible & waiting for burner to be ready flashes on & off!!! DVDFab HD Decrypter 4 doesn't work either. I have tryed everything I have. No AnyDVD don't have the cash to spare right now to buy it. Thanks for any help!
I think a lot of peoples' problems with (being unable to) rip dvd's is due to the burner or dvd-rom not being good enough. I always use decent dvd-rom drives for ALL ripping (i never have ripping issues), but recently i started using an old dvd burner as a ripping drive, and it was unable to rip a brand new dvd. Tried a few different programs, even DVDFaB Platinum wasn't playing ball (disc was just spinning, DVDFab was just looping, unable to finish detecting the disc). Then i hooked up my previously used dvd-rom drive and bam, it ripped thru it like butter. I'm back to my old trusty dvd-roms for ripping for good now..
This is the only DVD that I haven't been able to figure out, if I could get the files on to my PC I could get it!! Thanks for suggestion
Yeah let us know how you get on; when all the latest updates to the few top programs have been tried, and others post to say they've been successful in ripping a new movie, the culprit would most likely be the ripping drive. Dvd burners can be fast rippers, but just don't compare to a good old dvd-rom drive. My main dvd-rom is 5 yrs old now, and just refuses to stop ripping, though it should want to, it's ripped quite a few thousand movies in it's time
Well I'm kinds new at this but I think its a dvd rom drive its say E drive. What do you think, whats the difference?
A dvd-rom is only for reading dvd's (and cd's), a dvd burner can read dvd's, cd's and burn dvd's and cd's
yes clonedvd 2 + anydvd worked fine dew4j, try a firmware update or use another drive to transcode the movie. your drive is the problem
Mine does both CD's, DVD's, reads & burns both & its a duel layer, what ever that means! Thanks for your answers.
check for a firmware update for you optical drive/burner here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php as i said your optical drive/DVD-ROM/burner what ever you want to call it can't read the dvd . do you have another optical drive to read it with?
