i installed suse linux. i had it partition my hard drive in half. i now have the GRUB loader thing to switch between linux and windows. how can i remove linux? can i just use the CD's i installed it with?
Format the Linux partitions. If you are Dualbooting you just do the same and it will remove GRUB and Automatically go into windowa
partition magic says it wont change anything because i partitioned my hard drive with something else. but all i did was install linux.
Try downloading Hiren's BootCD, burning it to a cd and using the version of partition magic that comes on it.
im downloading a 63.9mb of it, is that about right because for all the features it has that seems rathert small.
That sounds about right, yeah. Last version was a bit smaller even, but due to addded content, that size should be right.
wow i almost gave up and formatted my hard drive......i deleted the 2 other partitions. but then i got an error in the grub loader. then i opened up one of the managers and formatted the other partiton,i used the recovery thing. now when i booted up windows it said it found new hardware. is this new hardware the rest of my harddrive?
Probably. Did you just delete the partitions, or did you re/partition them? As for grub being a problem, if you insert your windows cd at boot, you can use it to repair your MBR and/or use bootfix to get rid of grub.
