I need an unlocking code for Nokia 6102

    Cingular USA
    IMEI 357100003781512

My mum has taken the phone she bought in the US back to Australia and supposedly had it unlocked before she left the US. No other sim will work in it though - the phone turns on but won't recognise any network. Is it possible that it wasn't completely unlocked?

Any help will be appreciated, including the basic steps to follow as I've never done this before!

It depends on what network she is trying to use. The phone might not be compatible with the frequency of the network she's wanting to use. I'll check this again later to see if you have listed the network and I will let you know if that's the problem. If the phone was locked, she would have gotten the message "phone restricted" when she put her sim in.

It's Telstra in Australia - the phone is triband and should work there I thought...

    Nolimit,

thanks but we've worked out the problem and the code won't help - we've now been told by Nokia tech support that even though the 6102 works on Australian frequencies, it's not yet programed into South East Asian networks for use there. ie, it will work there if on roaming from a US network, but not with a local network sim. Very dodgy, as it was specifically bought to be used in both places...
