Help with USB 1.1 and 2.0

    My computer has a few USB 1.1 slots, but i want to upgrade to usb 2.0 . The catch is that i want a USB 2.0 Non-Power Hub.
    Something like this:

    I would have to connect the hub to one of my old USB 1.1 slots. Would this affect how fast the USB 2.0 hub works if i connect something to it. Will it be faster than my original USB 1.1 slots?

    Connecting a 2.0 hub to a 1.1, would cause the 2.0 to run at 1.1.

    Just purchase a USB 2.0 internal card for under $10 from newegg.com.

    Most have 4 external ports and one internal.
