Help with video file types..

    Hi,
    could anybody tell me, what video file types downloaded from the network are compatible for direct burning in either shrink or nero, without having to go through the encoding process in nero vision.

    Were, theres the DVD-R (which isn't really a format, its just the VOB files in the VIDEO_TS). Most people don't post just the ripped movie, they convert it to .avi. However, many private sites have users that upload the direct rip.

    I hope I answered what you were asking..

    xvid / x264 can also be direct burnt no encoding... theres others too...

    i dont burn/encode much at all, i watch on my HDTV via cables...
