Help with vista net

i got a new laptop with vista and i got wireless on it and i wanna connect it to the net. my main comp which is xp has a d-link 524 on it.

when i go on my laptop it searches and finds it but it says identifying and stays like that. and on the network and sharing center it has a pic of my pc then it has unidedified then and the net is grey
