hi guys i dont know where this topic would go so i just put it in this forum. my problem is i have a winrar file i just downloaded. when i try to extract it, it freezes up. i can see the window which shows the progress of extracting but it freezes up. so if you can help in any way it will be a big help thanks.
Sounds like the progs actually crashing, uninstall winrar and then do a reinstall. Other than that it may actually be acorrupt file, to check burn a data version of the files and check it on another pc with winrar again if any of the .rar files are corrupt this may cause it, did you get any par files with your .rar files?
also be very careful that the files you are trying to extract are not a virus file! that could be your reason for the freezing! Make sure your antivirus program is running and uptodate!!
