i new help with wireless networking i have never done it before but want to Ok i have i Thomson TG782T home modem but its has about 5 points on the back like a router and also wireless i have a laptop connected to it and a desktop in the other room also connected to it both connected wireless and a xbox360 connected by cable i wanted to make a network out of them so i can share files with the other computer and watch movies on my xbox360 any questions feel free to ask
for the movies, just download a program called tversity and install it to whichever computer you want, and then the 360 will see your computer and play all your music/movies. as for the file sharing, i think you just need to go through the properties of that specific drive and enable sharing on it.
If all of the computers can see the internet, then you need to set up a network at the OS level between all of them. Run the "set up a network wizard" to start. All of the computers need to belong to the same workgroup and you need to not the name of each computer for starters.
