Help with Xbox 360 harddrive.

Hey, I just got my xbox a month ago from repairs. It seems I'm not the only person this has happened to. Anyway, my xbox as got the 1 red light and has indicated the error code E68. I know its my harddrive because my xbox will sometimes work, but my harddrive won't register. I am not going to let my saves dissappear in sending it in. I was wondering if there is any way to help, like some kind of transfering data thing or getting it to register to delete the corrupted data? This is my last hope, because I can see how people have so many problems with the xbox 360, when the PS3 has not a lot heard from.
