Help with xbox ftp

    I need help networking my xbox to my pc, I do not have highspeed net, I do have 1 nic card and cable, I have them connected, but nothing will reconize anything, I need any and all help please!

    you need a hub or outer look though this forum for a tutorial

    check your ip add for xbox and comp and your default gate way add as well. Check static ip on xbox also

    is the cable a normal network cable or a crossover cable???


    you need a crossover cable.

    you do not need a hub or router.

    make sure you have the static ip switched to on in system settings.

    How, I am having trouble getting the red x off the network imkage, I am in winxp pro, and it keeps saying network cable unpluged, won't do a connect. If anyone knows of this prob and can help me I would apperciate it, I need some details on how to get the network on the pc going from the pc to the xbox and I am on 1 nic card and cable. I don't have a hub, router or any of that other stuff, just 1 card and cable and they are linked but, their not detecting each other.

    with your setup you need a crossover network cable between your nic and xbox...

    then make sure you assign a static ip in the evox.ini file and also make sure NETWORK SETUP = YES

    sidenote, also be sure your pc is setup for TCP/IP connections in the network settings
