    Hi

I have an Olympus C-750UZ, i have bought a Fuji 1GB XD Card on the advice of a friend who said the Fuji cards were better than the Olympus ones, anyway when i put the card in the Camera it asks if i want to Format it, if i say no the Camera powers off, if i say yes then i a 'Card Error' come up.

Is this card compatible with my Camera ???

    Thanks in advance

most xd cameras that i have delt with go max from 512 to 1 gig depends weather the model supports it

i have 7 camera's right now in my collection some take sd most take xd but the max i have been able to use safely on xd is 512 megs after that the camera go's nuts

so my recommendation is try 2 seperate 512 meg sticks instead of a single one gig

Fuji XD cards are compatible with Olympus cameras, but the max size that your camera will work with is 512MB.

You'll need to either see if Olympus can upgrade the firmware or change the card. (The latter being what I would do)

As your camera has a panoramic function, you may as well get the Olympus 512MB card as the Fuji does not support that function at all.

    Read the specs here:

Looking at the specs here :- http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_archived_product_details.asp?id=910&fl=4

I think you are limited to a 256Mb with the original firmware.

If you look in your Manual you will see it is also stated you are limited to 16-256Mb cards -- Online manual is here :- http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/C750UZ_Basic_manual.pdf

    It's on page 41.

Hope this clarifies things ! Have a great day.

Strange that there seems to be a difference between US manual and UK online spec sheet for some reason.

Correct link to UK spec is here, my last post had the 'n' in consumer missing for some weird reason, and thus did not work.

    http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/29_C-750_UltraZoom_Specifications.htm

This is quoting 512MB max size, so you may need to ring the Olympus support line to get a confirmation on the card size your camera will take.

    Media
    Storage media type Removable xD-Picture Card (16, 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512MB).

Smiles ~~ They gave it the name [bold]CAMEDIA[/bold] in your UK specs.. ! Could that make the difference ....

Best Jesterhud looks up his owner's manual -- this would clear it up.
