I have a bunch of avi files on my PC. I FTP them over using Flash FXP and have been able to enjoy my XBOX as a media center. Lately, I have a few files that won't work. They will play on my PC just fine but over on my box nothing. Also, I have burned quiet a few to a dvd-r to back them up and play them and I get the same problem.

Try to play them in the cvs version of XBMP.If not then try a stable 2.4 release

It is the latest build of XBMP that build off the newest source code every week or so.

Thnaks! I've got 2.4 just yesterday and it is doing the same thing. It might be the way the avi is coded. I don't know. But the files do work on my PC. Thanks again. I'll keep trying!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THE FILES PLAY IN YOUR XBOX IS CONVERT YOUR FILES IN A LITTLE PROGRAM CALLED TMPGENC ITLL CONVERT YOUR FILES AND MAKE THEM COMPATIBLE FOR YOUR XBOX TO PLAY THEM
