I got this xbox as a present and had a friend softmod it for me. Before I gave it to him I noticed that to turn it on you had to hold the eject button down for a couple of seconds. then it would start up. Now after play for awhile it will hust turn off. Also if I open or close the DVD tray it will shut off.....HELP thx
Sounds like a faulty controller board! Your power buttons are either jammed or damaged, replace them with new ones from a working Xbox!
