i want 2 make a back-up copy of a dvd for my use and i wanted to know what kind of programs would i need. i have sonic and a dvd burner and thats it. Thanx for the help guys.
DVDFab Decrypter, DVD43, DVD Shrink, and DVD Decrypter are all free and available for download from this site.
A good place to start is downloading DVD Decrypter. Check the software section ASAP and if it is there get it now before it is gone. Then also get DVD Shrink. These two program will be enough to copy roughly 99.9% of all DVDs. A third program you should get is DVDFab. This one should also be in the software section. Use it for movies that DVD Decrypter cannot rip.
Thanx for the quick replys ppl. i have a Philips dvd +-rw. i downloaded those programs and i know my burner has double layer writing ability so i was wondering if i need a certain kind of disk. I have dvd+rw disks that are 4.7 gb.
96Integra , I would use Verbatim (-) or (+) disks. You can also use Maxell, Taiyo Yuden or Ritek as they are all very good blank media. Below is a guide that one of the fine members here did and it is using only Freeware to do the movies. You might want to consider using this one. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with DVDFABDecrypter,Shrink,&Decrypter.pdf
@96Integra The programs u will nedd are as follows: DVD Decrypter http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm DVD Shrink http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm CloneDVD 2 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/clonedvd.cfm AnyDVD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/anydvd.cfm DVD43 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd43.cfm With AnyDVD and DVD43 dont run them at the same time because they clash. Thats all u will really need
DVDDecrypter then Shrink. Suggest you use DVDFAB Decrypter as DVDDecrypter can not do some of the newer movies w/ the Sony encryptions.
ok i just got done with ripping it so now what do i do? im looking at the guide but its a little confusing
