i made 2 movies using windows movie maker...balh blah blah..and i used WINAVI to convert the wmv files to avi then those avi's to dvd format...so then i get an Audio_TS with nothing inside and a VIDEO_TS with 2 IFO files, 2 BUP files and a VOB file. Now remember i did this twice for two different movies. So when i put them on a dvd disic i put all 10 files in the same VIDEO_TS folder. I burnt them with sonice So i out it in the dvd player and it starts playing. But then about two minutes into the movie it stops playing and holds that photo for the rest of the movie....So my questions are

    1. Why did the movie freeze?
    2. The top and bottom edges of the movie were choped, why?
    3. How come the 2nd movie didnt play??

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your description of the problem makes me think you have a media issue. What kind of media are you using? Make sure that you set the target size to 4300 so that you don't burn too close to the edge of the media. This will cause freezing and studdering on playback. Also make sure you do not use any paper labels..

He's asking what brand of blank DVDs do you use..i.e., Memorex, Office Max, or good ones like Taiyo Yudens, Verbatims....

Another consideration is the burn speed. Try to keep it to 4x and this will help with the burn quality.

Try my other suggestions as well and see how it goes. If you still have problems, post a burn log file so we can take a look at it.

    Cheers.

Yeah, you mentioned it. A burn log file is a history of what went on with the burn.

You create one automatically when you burn with decrypter or nero. I am not sure were to look in moviemaker as I have never used that program. I would think it would be in the history folder.

Is that what you burn with?
