As a complete newB to these forums and this software I apologize for the basic question but I need some help. I installed FFDShow on my PC and now my windows sounds are gone and I have lost the little volume control from the task bar. I can't seem to get things back to the way they were b4 ffdshow even with a rollback. Is there a known issue or workaround? Thanks in advance. Drew
drewbles hi seeing as you know the problems only occured since installing said prog, and i assume you have uninstalled. it could be that there are a few trailers tucked away in the system. if there is, a restore may not work. to find if there is anything, click start then on the right click search. select...all files and folders, then type in ffdshow...leave the rest as it is and click search. then manually delete all files found. then try a restore back to a few days before you installed said programm. it works for me, so with a little luck might do so for you
