I have the starview pre set box I cant get into the secret menu to turn on my emu on via the menu does anyone have any idea how to do this

just keeps asking for old and new pins i`ve entered the Master Password: 1668 also 1570 and 2004 nothing happend I do have some stations but most are scrammbled or bad ch.

you might have to reflash your box with a different firmware

 

How do I go about doing a reflash ? Have u ever had this problem yourself

 

when i was using version 258 i had that problem. press menu and then system information to find out what firmware you have.

 

my system is starview API ver:2.5e_E Boot ver: 7.0 16 Aug 2006 what should I do now ?

sorry I missed out the 7 it say`s it is a pre set box on the box that it came in. it was working okay for about 2 weeks I`ve done a re scan and can get loads of ch. but I cant get into the secret menuto make sure the emu is turned on

you could try substituting 1668 for one of the above codes as this is the master codes for the starview. I never had any problem getting into secret menu on version 2.57. on version 2.58 the codes wouldn't work for me.

 

Hi steo46 I `ve entered all codes just keeps going back and forward asking for new or old pins

press parental control


scroll down to second pin and press ok

enter 1668

this should work.

 

it will not take any other pin number other than the one that I enter
even if I go to factory settings it will scan and save channels the only problem is it will not let me into the secret menu.

So I dont get a chance to press info if I press parental control it offers me a box to put a 4 number code. any code I put in does not work.
I did what you suggested but no luck
It sounds like it is nackerd up what do you think ?

 

the last method i posted never failed for me. 1668 is the mastercode so it should work. i don't know any other way to resolve this

 

did you scroll down to second pin in the parental control menu and enter 1668.

I managed to get it up and running I just turned it off from the back and left it off all night I was going to put it through the room but thought i`d give it another go and I had no problem getting getting into the secret menu and turning the emu on everything is going okay and I have my channels back
