help

hi guys,im having some problems trying to download version 4.00 to my box,everytime i try to do it it seems the stb model defaults to something different,ive tried manually typing in the stb but each time i try to download its unsuccessful and nothing is happening.im pretty naff on pc's so it please keep it simple,ive tried looking at the documentation for help but i must be missing something,this all started as i was trying to rectify the sly sports 1 patch onto my box but now i have nothing on at all,i did try to put a different version onto it as mentioned in the forum,please tell me i havent blown my box up? i dont know if im extracting the files correctly from winrar?
