I checked to make sure everything was compatible with Far Cry, except for sound. My system has a 3.0gig processor, a gig of ram, and a Radeon X600XT. My sound card is a IntelĀ® High Definition 5.1 Audio. The required compatible sound is a DirectX 9.0b-compatible PCI card. Is my card compatible with PCI? Also is it integrated, or does that have any affect on this situation? Thanks.

    1. The sound"chip" should be fine
    2. The sound"chip", being a "chip" isnt a PCI card but it's compatible
    3. The only thing you might notice are (a) not so great EAX support and (b) a framerate hit

EAX - a system by Creative to simulate acoustic environments. There are other versions of this type of thing, another one that comes to mind is A3D etc
