A couple of years ago when I began working on DVD's and was having some problems, one of the really helpful folks at the late DVDXCopy site put me on to a great utility. The name is "Belarc Advisor," and if you don't know about it, by all means go to their website and download it. It's free (for personal use only), and what it does, is goes through your entire computer, tells you everything you should know about your computer. And does it in about a minute. It lists every piece of equipment you have attached, finds who makes every piece equipment of your system, what firmware updates it has, also every serial number, every user number, all the the software updates you have, and the software licenses you own. I don't look at it every day, but whenever I have a problem, I pull it out, run it and print out a report. Mine runs to about six pages single spaced so you can tell it give you a lot of information. I have run into a lot of folks who don't know about Belarc Advisor, so I thought I'd try to pass on some valuable information someone on the Forum gave to me. Just google "Belarc Advisor" and see for yourself.
