    Its a pocket computer basically.
All it takes is a couple of minor steps..

    PSPWXP is what it is..

    You will need:

    Just This http://www.download.com/PspWxp/3000-7242_4-10539062.html?tag=pdp_prod

It'z pretty cool. I like the features A LOT.

You dont even Need the internet or CF to get this running
Just the address bar. How dope is that!? You can even change desktop wallpaper like a real PC by going to settings in START [bottom left]and selecting your own picture from your memory stick photos.

    >>When you download the file, you will get a folder called PSPWXP..
    >>Toggle USB
    >>Put that into the root of your memory stick next to ISO, PSP etc.
    >>Exit out and go straight to the internet browser
    >>Type in EXACTLY >> file:/pspWxp/index.htm <<
    >>Hit enter, then hit Triangle and hola.

You now have a pocket computer and one of the best things you can use a psp for in my opinion. Its somewhat old but havent seen any threads up to date with it and its really nice to me. I bet a lot of you noobs would love this. Hangman, minesweeper, it goes pretty far, especially when you GOT connection.

P.s. Left,Up,Right, or Down on the Dpad will put you at 'START' in the bottom left. Analog is to move the pointer around, X is your main button O is to get out, L is to return to your desktop from a game and R will put you back into the game.

ALSO if anyone wants to talk HOMEBREW or FIRMWARE or PSPz. Get at me on AIM sn SICKNTENTIIONS sn

    .dztyle.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

If you guys havent heard of the application Where you can spy on people through webcams at certain places like NewYork and London then this is a Really Great App..

    Its called PSP EARTH...

    you need:

    1] INTERNET connection
    2] this file http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Earth-Beta-v0.2-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/13858/catid/189

Its as easy as PSPWXP.. They work alike. Put the downloaded PSP EARTH folder in your memory stick root along w/ PSPWXP if you used that too and go straight to internet browser. Click on PSP in BOOKMARKS [when you press triangle] so that you can connect your router or connection. Then go to the address part and look at the read me for what to type in... its >> file:/pspearth/index.html << if your too lazy to look. It then loads up after you hit enter. You then click on The statue of liberty picture. Click on the 1st one where a hand will direct you to the available one [for this is just a teaser until the full version comes out] and right away you should see clips everything 3 seconds of people walking around in new york. Imagine if you seen a fight right in front of your eyes. Hahaha. I suggests you save PSPWXP or PSP EARTH to your bookmarks if you want to go back to it without having to retype.

For me, Props goes to BUCKFANDAN for this one.

Enjoy! and keep on the look for the full version. It will be a TREAT!

first one is a portal, not actual Windows XP on a PSP. so thread's mis-titled

2ndone sounds interesting, but not for me :) goodjob on tut though.

Haha, thanks. When PSP EARTH drops out its full version. That will be a lot better. Although the teaser is already exciting as is.
Yeah i changed the title. It is not Windows XP but acts as a Windows XP desktop which looks real neat and can mess around a lot through it. I think about it as an Irshell for the internet browser. ;D. It gots loads of games, features and looks just like a portable computer and tries to act like one. I think it sh*** on the wannabe windows vista by a load.

very great application. VERY IMPRESSIVE! It's like homebrew on all firmwares with the games and apps! Are there any over apps like the windowsxp one that will work on the browser for my firmware, 3.52? If so tell me please.

Are you talking about PSPWXP? You dont need custom firmware or internet connection to run that. You've tried it right?

This could be a really nice program if it worked completely. (Alot of it's not totally functional at all.) Also, the game controls are crap, seriously, seriously bad. Come on, how is it possible to make a version of Breakout or Tetris that unplayable?

    Two out of Five stars.

Hah! noone cares about your stars homie. Thousand of people downloaded windows vista for psp and PSPWXP is 20x better than the vista. As for PSP EARTH, if you read it, you'd see that i said it's only a teaser for when the real deal drops out. Got it? GOOD.
