    Hi.

Delete your Nero program serial number from your post. It begins 1C..... and is immediately beneath this header: ----- Begin NeroAPI error log -----.

There is a Roxio driver installed which may conflict with Nero. Delete any Roxio software that is installed like Easy CD Creator and then run the Roxio Zapper.

The burner doesn't seem to be liking the media. That particular Sony media can be troublesome for some burners with older firmware. Your burner seems to have been manufactured for a computer manufacturer and you may need to go to their support site to find an updated firmware. I think this is a Dell system. Is that correct? I would also try burning at a speed of 4X or 8X instead of 2.4X as well.

Try to find an updated firmware at the Dell support site.
    Try a different media.
    Increase the burn speed.
Remove the Roxio software (if any is installed) but definitely run the Roxio Zapper.

Stick with Sony discs, memorex are the WORST possible discs you can use and cause many failures.

There is such a difference in timestamps between the Nero Recode log and the Nero History burn log, it is hard to determine if they are related. Is Nero Recode working or is it shutting down fairly quickly with an error? Is it even entering the burn phase? Are your disks being ruined?

Instead of burning directly from Nero Recode, choose the Image Recorder as the target device instead and create a Nero nrg image file. Then try using ImgBurn (free) to burn the Nero nrg image file you created. If this works, then we know the burner and the media are OK and we need to deal with a Nero problem.

Now i'm trying a region 1 dvd called "Wrong Turn" and I keep getting
(This dvd is copy protected)so I can't even get to the next part/phase with this dvd.

When I was trying "Gungrave" which is a region 0 dvd it would stop and eject my blank dvd and so it wasn't even entering the burn phase because it kept saying (Failed to open the File%s)

I just tried using the Nero nrg image file and igmburn and keep getting (There is not enough space to burn this compilation on this disc)which is weird because I made a copy of this disc using Dvd Shrink the other day.I also was using Anydvd and CloneDvd 2 until they ran out so I truley believe it is Nero.

I think Nero Recode is getting the file size wrong for some reason. Check the "Fit to target:" checkbox and select "Custom" and then enter 4350 in the size box. See if it works correctly then.

What is the size of the Nero nrg file? Is it possible, the target size was set to DVD9 (dual layer disk)?

The size of the file is 156bytes.I can always adjust the target size but I don't think that is a problem.

156 bytes is a nonfile/empty file. I'm guessing the disk you are tryig to copy is defective and is not being read by your burner.

Can you copy the disk you want to copy to your HDD with DVD Decrypter in ISO Read mode? If so, how big is the resulting ISO file?

I think I just found out my problem but don't know how to fix it.My Audio_TS folder is always empty and so when I try to burn with Nero I get Failed to open files%s.

The AUDIO_TS folder should be empty. Sound accompanying video is in the VIDEO_TS folder as it is attached to the video during encoding.

Are you using AnyDVD in the background? Are you using DVDFab Decrypter for ripping? Can you describe what programs you're using and in what order? Are you following any of the available guides?

If you're using Recode on a copy protected DVD without AnyDVD or another decrypter in the background, it will always fail.

I use DvdFab Decrypter and then use Nero Recode on both copy protected and non copy protected movies and still get Failed to open file%s.
