Hi, Could anybody give me any tips for removing a virus described by AVG as Heur.dropper. I have researched it on google and tried a few things. 1. AVG is unable to remove it - it just keeps popping up in AVG. 2. I have started the computer in safe mode and ran Malaware. It found 3 threats and removed them. However, when I rebooted the problem still exists. Any help appreciated, Regards, James
I have ran the ATF Cleaner. I have ran the Kapersky Scanner. It gave me 2 reports: REPORT 1 Thursday, August 13, 2009 Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600) Kaspersky Online Scanner version: 7.0.26.13 Last database update: Thursday, August 13, 2009 21:27:05 Records in database: 2622104 Scan settings scan using the following database extended Scan archives yes Scan e-mail databases yes Scan area My Computer C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ G:\ H:\ Scan statistics Objects scanned 85673 Threats found 1 Infected objects found 4 Suspicious objects found 0 Scan duration 02:19:12 File name Threat Threats count C:\Documents and Settings\Media_PC\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\L488RT1B\vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32[1].exe Infected: not-a-virus:RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC.ad 2 E:\My Documents\Downloaded Files\VNC\vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32.exe Infected: not-a-virus:RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC.ad 2 REPORT 2 Thursday, August 13, 2009 Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600) Kaspersky Online Scanner version: 7.0.26.13 Last database update: Thursday, August 13, 2009 21:27:05 Records in database: 2622104 Scan settings scan using the following database extended Scan archives yes Scan e-mail databases yes Scan area My Computer C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ G:\ H:\ Scan statistics Objects scanned 85673 Threats found 1 Infected objects found 4 Suspicious objects found 0 Scan duration 02:19:12 File name Threat Threats count C:\Documents and Settings\Media_PC\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\L488RT1B\vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32[1].exe Infected: not-a-virus:RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC.ad 2 E:\My Documents\Downloaded Files\VNC\vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32.exe Infected: not-a-virus:RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC.ad 2
