now thaT I GOT YOUR ATT I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO BURN MY REFORMATTED YIDEO_VOB_ST FILE TO DVD SO IT WILL PLAY IN AN PS2 OR XBOX ALONG WITH MY STANDALONE PLAYER I HAVE NERO BURNING ROM AND WHAT I GOT TO BURN IT TO A DVD VIDEO IT WILL NOT READ THE VIDEO_VOB_ST FILE SO I TRIED TO BURN IT IN A DVD ROM ISO BUT IT WILL NOT PLAY IN ANY PS2 XBOX OR STANDALONE I HAVE.COULD SOME ONE PLZ TELL ME HOW TO GET THE DVD TO WORK USING NERO BURNING ROM ONLY.ANY ONE HELP PLZ

blindkid, if nero's not working, try running the vobs through dvd shrink and save them as an iso file, then burn that with decrypter (its all free)
Also depending on the age of your xbox/ps2 and drive type you may need to use dvd-r or +r (you have to figure this out)

blindkid.....I decrypted your question and came up with the following:

Do a search for your standalone, then for playstation 2, then for xbox. That should bring up a media list that has been tested for each of them. Just pick out the media that seems to work best according to people who have reviewed there. That should do the trick as far as media is concerned.

As for using Nero Burning Rom, I don't think you can use this alone(unless you have a movie that's already pressed on a DVD5 disk). The disk will not be large enough to hold most movies. You'll have to shrink down your files in order to get them to fit onto one disk. If you don't want to fork out the bucks, use DVD shrink. It's free.

Also, you said you have a Video_VOB_ST "file". I think you're misunderstanding something about dvd structure. You probably mean you see a Video_TS folder on your dvd, which contains VOB files as well as BUP and IFO files.

You must burn your disk using a structure your dvd player, ps2, and xbox will understand. You can't just burn VOB files to a disk and expect your player to know what you want it to do. You must burn the Video_TS folder with the IFO files to give your player the necessary instructions.

Furthermore, your dvd player will not know what to do with an ISO file. The ISO file is a disk image that burning software uses to burn your dvd. It's a disk image. In reality, it contains the same information as the Video_TS folder, but it is compacted into one file (ISO) instead of numerous other files with different extensions. You should decrypt using file mode, then use dvd shrink to compress your movie. Then, you'll be able to watch it on anything you want.
