HI, I just bought a vga/hdmi converter and have connected my Dell 1501 laptop (Ati Radeon Xpress) to my 42" Philips LCD. The picture is fantastic, the colours are really vibrant. I'm watching downloaded tv programmes that are from a HD TV station. The files are 349MB the video is 42 minutes long.
Am i seeing HI DEF picture quality???
Can I watch in HI DEF if I download a hd file (BLU RAY OR HDDVD).
Would the difference be worth the Bandwidth

Is this the best possible picture I will get?

    Thanks

    Jarvis

Those are probably video's taken from a hi-def source and then compressed
to standard def. They look good because of the source but are far from hi-def. Yes if you have the right player you can download an hd file and watch it on your computer.
